Will your goods be uplifted?
In general we can NEVER guarantee that your goods will make a particular flight. Space is almost always restricted and until we have received all of the food, mail and medical supplies, we do not know how much space is left. Upgrading your goods to priority will help, but will still NOT guarantee uplift. You need to give as much warning as possible, let us know the number of parcels, the weight and the importance of your cargo. Please bear in mind that, by virtue of the goods being air freighted, EVERYBODY'S freight is important.
^^
Export Declaration Numbers:
Goods which have a total consignment value of $2000.00 or more will require a Customs export clearance. The current cost of obtaining an EDN is $25.00 AND AN INVOICE COPY MUST BE SUPPLIED TO FREIGHTSHOP
Packing:
Please
take note of packing materials used and be weight-conscious at all times. All
sharp ends must be covered. Maximum single weight must not exceed 120 kilos.
Cubic rates may apply to parcels less than the minimum weight per cubic metre
equivalent. Ensure
that all parcels are addressed clearly and correctly.
Deliveries:
Please deliver goods to Freightshop at Unit 7, 26 Fricker Road, Perth International Airport. Turn right at DHL and then sharp right again. Deliveries where there are no parcels over 30 kilos, go to the front door and deliveries over 30 kilos to the back door.
Courier:
We provide a next day, less than 25kg service for delivery of your goods
from anywhere in the metro area to us for $17.50
Exports and Imports:
Christmas and Cocos Islands are considered international destinations. Shippers should be aware that compliance for Customs and Quarantine is appropriate for this status. This means there must be a dangerous goods declaration made for every consignment. This can be done from our website by going to the Statement of Contents page
It also means that goods returning to the mainland from the Islands will need to be cleared by Customs and may need inspecting by the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS). This may impact severely on the cost of bringing goods back from the Islands. Please call Freightshop for information especially if you are quoting for a client.
