Shipping deadlines

Cargo Cut-off Times

When to book your cargo and when to get your freight and paperwork to us.

What “cut-off” means

Cut-off is the latest time Freightshop can manifest your consignment. It is not a warehouse delivery time; all required processing must be complete before the cut-off.

Dangerous goods are different: Friday noon is the last time we can receive the cargo and its Safety Data Sheet, so we can complete certification afterwards.

For a Friday freighter: the dangerous goods deadline is the Friday 7 days before the flight. Monday and Tuesday deadlines are 4 and 3 days before that Friday flight. All times are Perth time.

Friday

12:00 noon

Dangerous goods

Deliver dangerous goods to Freightshop by Friday at 12 noon, with a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) last revised within the past five years. Freightshop completes the required certification after receiving the freight.

Monday

12:00 noon

Perishable bookings and general cargo

Book your chilled or frozen cargo by noon. For general (non-refrigerated) cargo, deliver your freight and paperwork earlier so we can finish processing it by noon.

Tuesday

12:00 noon

All remaining freight, including perishables

All remaining freight, including chilled and frozen goods, must arrive early enough for Freightshop to finish processing it by noon.

Wednesday and Thursday are exception windows, not standard cut-offs

We can accept Category 1 cargo or pre-approved Category 2 perishables before noon on Wednesday or Thursday only if Freightshop has contacted you and confirmed the arrangement. Otherwise, follow your usual Monday or Tuesday deadline.

What must happen before manifesting

Allow enough time between delivery and the applicable cut-off for every required step below.

  • Cargo repacking completed, if required.
  • Dangerous goods certification completed by Freightshop, if required (after timely delivery with a current SDS).
  • Any service-level upgrade completed.
  • Cargo checked in to the Freightshop warehouse.
  • Enhanced screening completed.
  • Freightshop Export Declaration submitted where required (an export-compliant invoice must be available).
  • Payment completed for non-account holders.

Planning rule

Treat the published cut-off as the point by which processing must be finished, not the time to arrive at the warehouse. Freight that needs repacking, dangerous goods certification, screening, export documentation or payment should arrive earlier.
