Shipper’s Declaration / SLI

Shipper's Declaration

  • Christmas and Cocos Islands are International destinations so far as Australian Customs and the Department of Agriculture are concerned and all applicable conditions for international importing and exporting apply.

This form must be completed by the SHIPPER of the goods for each consignment delivered to Freightshop and is valid for a period of 30 days. This is a legal requirement placed on the shipper, and the receiver cannot complete this form on behalf of the shipper. It is illegal to consign an unauthorized explosive or explosive devices. • Please select the island you wish your freight to travel too.

  • If your consignment contains perishables which require the chiller or freezer, please select Category 3 - Perishable for the Freight Service Level below. If there are dry or ambient goods with the perishables you'll have a chance to select a service level for those goods separately after choosing Category 3 - Perishable.
Note: Category 3 - Perishable requires a perishable booking before completing the shipper's declaration, found here: https://www.freightshop.com.au/book-perishables/
  • If you are unsure of the service level to select, please contact the receiver of the goods. Priority selection does not guarantee uplift on a flight. Selecting Priority will place your cargo ahead of General Cargo on all flights. If a flight becomes full, Priority Cargo will be lodged before General Cargo. General Cargo will be subject to first offload in this event.

  • Must Fly Terms

Category 1 - Must Fly cargo is for cargo which is time sensitive and critical for one or more core functions of the Island(s).

If your goods are not Aircraft on Ground Spares, Currency or for a Stranded Vessel, this service level requires special approval by the Department. In the text block below please outline your reasons for requesting Category 1 - Must Fly and detail the impact to the Island if this cargo is not received on the next available flight. It's important to also include the dimensions and weight of the cargo you're planning to send.

Please note that this request will be sent straight to the Department for review.

We understand the importance of everyone's freight, however please do not select this service level just to try and skip the queue. Abuse of this system may cause delays to your cargo and/or additional processing fees.

  • Category 2 - Medical is for goods used to sustain life or ease the pain of death. All Shipper's Declarations in this category will be sent to the appropriate hospital authority for approval.
